Born in 1928 AA in southern Carna, Amani was the only child and heir to the House of Lennhart, a family renowned for their martial prowess. Raised on tales of legendary warriors and heroes, Amani grew up with a singular dream—to live up to the honor of his ancestors. At seventeen, the young lion eagerly enlisted in the military of Carnaron, ready to carve his name into history. Over the next fourteen years, he proved himself an accomplished and respected soldier in the Zahnram, often deployed to skirmishes along the southern borderlands and the Gorkhen, where he clashed with encroaching herds and Elrim.

However, Amani’s greatest trial came during the invasion of Karanor in 1959 AA, under the command of Saber-General Lieren Astrasa. It was there, amid the brutal war against the goats, that Amani witnessed the deaths of many comrades he had fought beside for years. Their losses weighed heavily on him, casting a shadow of melancholia he couldn’t shake. In the midst of this sorrow, Amani discovered a power he had never known—lightning sparked around him whenever his temper flared, a volatile magic tied to his emotions. He kept this secret close, fearing the consequences of revealing it.

During the Durstren Rebellion, Amani was dispatched as an envoy, tasked with negotiating the surrender of House Darsunng—a family his own was closely allied with. When he failed, the Darsunngs were brutally executed with the arrival of the Woemaker. This final tragedy shattered Amani’s resolve, and he retired from the military with honors, accompanied by a few loyal subordinates.

Seeking new purpose, Amani became a mercenary, joining the Gild of Coren, an organization devoted to predator supremacy through conflict. The mercenary life brought him wealth, which he used to seek admission to Terregor, a prestigious institution where he hoped to understand his burgeoning magic. It was during this time that he began to soften, finding solace in learning the lute, singing, and exploring the secrets of his untapped powers—forces that fed on the guilt and fear accumulated during his years as a soldier.

Now, Amani roams the Cradle, a lion in search of a purpose that continues to elude him, haunted by his past but determined to find redemption, or at least peace.
